A Wanted Man, by Lee Child

Reacher is hitching a lift and is picked up by some people who are on the run for a murder, know that roadblocks will be in place, and want more people in the car so that they don't match the description that they know will be being circulated.

Good setup, and a good read although maybe not as good as the last couple of books I read. Problem with this one was that it postulated rather too much organisation of secret schemes by government agencies - i.e. the implausibility inherent in any Reacher plot was not confined just to the events Reacher finds himself tangled up in, but extended to there being government coverups and conspiracies in current-day America.
