The Currents of Space, by Isaac Asimov

I don’t think I can have read this for 20 years but the Ideas and inventions come back to me like old friends - the planets sark and florina; the kyrt harvest and the Squire of Fife.

It did feel like there was more going on in terms of background (Trantorian empire, the Squires of Sark, the Florinians) than was used by this book. I.e. you could imagine a series of books about this bit of the galactic culture. I had a little bit of trouble following who was goodie/baddie in this because the three of those groups were trying to outwit one another and there were various double-agents as well.

Felt more satisfying at the end and that things were explained well. Really enjoyed it.
