Fictionalised autobiography of growing up in South Africa. They really rated this on "A Good Read". But it didn't do anything for me.

I started this ages ago, wasn't grabbed by it, so read some other books in the meantime. Went back to this from a sense of duty but realised I wasn't enjoying it so gave it up as a bad job.
