Sharpe's Fortress, by Bernard Cornwell

This book follows chronologically from Sharpe's Triumph, and tells the story of the seige of Gawilghur, which was a fearsomely defended fort that was won in a famous operation under Wellington. The traitor Dodd is defending Gawilghur, and Hakeswill is up to his old tricks trying to get rid of Sharpe.

Good story, and Dodd and Hakeswill were dealt with satisfactorily. Maybe not so exciting as some of the other books but a good read and interesting historical detail.
