Must be about he sixth Flowers novel, this is the one where someone steals a valuable stone tablet from an archaelogical dig in Israel, and flees to Minnesota, pursued by various interested parties.
This was alright, but not fantastic. I can see that Sandford maybe feels Davenport's not got a lot of life left in him, and that he wants to do something a bit different with Flowers, but I don't think I like Flowers quite so much.
There was a fair amount of humour in the book. The main problem with the story was that for a lot of the time Virgil doesn't really know what's going on: who's good and who's bad, and who's chasing who. And it wasn't just Virgil - I had trouble working out what was going on as well.
