Strange Weather, by Joe Hill

Four novellas, bought this as a 99p kindle book of the day because it had reviews which made the stories sound interesting.

The first story Snapshot felt very Stephen King. It was a good idea and It did have creepy moments but I worked out how he was going to beat the boogeyman before it happened. And then there was a good place for the story to end but it turned out to be only about halfway through. And the rest of it was pretty much explaining what had happened and exploring the ramifications. Which was readable but I couldn't help thinking it would have been better left with the ending of "say cheese".

I likeed Loaded the best. Not horror at all.

Aloft was ok but not great and Strange Weather was an interesting premise although not very original in the actual story of what happened.

I was thinking as I read it that I wouldn't be surprised to find it was written by Stephen King under a pseudonym. I later found that Joe Hill is Stephen King's son, and that he'd used a pseudonym to avoid association with his father.
