A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil, by Christopher Brookmyre

Opens with a couple of mates wondering what they're going to do about a bloody corpse which one assumes is someone they've killed, and then flashes back thirty years to primary school. The rest of the book alternates between the present, and the experience of the book's characters as they progress through school to adulthood, revealing the explanation for the corpse.

Didn't really like this one very much. Maybe it is a good nostalgia trip but the scenes and stories of school-life (the flashbacks were the larger part of the book) felt a bit cliched to me (albeit with a lot more swearing than you might normally expect).
