One of a series of McGee books I read this summer which I haven't done proper reviews for.

This is the first in the series of Travis McGee books.

In this one, Travis helps a woman who's been abused (physically or mentally or both - I can't remember) by her husband. The husband has disappeared after coming into a large amount of money, and damaging various other people's lives.

The guy has come across some treasure, and buys himself a boat which he uses to take trips with young people who he then sexually exploits.

Another one (well, the first one, but it sets a pattern) where McGee doesn't actually end up with the woman.
