Another recommendation from A Good Read. Joan Castleman is the eponymous spouse, and her husband, Joe, is an American writer who, at the end of his career, is on his way with Joan to pick up lifetime achievement prize in Finland. Through the course of the trip, Joan fills us in on their life together.

Pretty good, readable, although I wasn't as knocked out as they had been on the radio programme. I don't think they'd given away the ending, although I worked out what was going to happen before it did. I didn't make any notes while reading it, so I assume nothing particularly struck me about it!
